Pushing

I went to pick Kaden up from school today and Kaleb and I saw the kids playing at recess. Kaleb loves to watch these guys play. A little girl came and ran up to us and told me that Kaden was crying. I asked he why and she told me "Kaden got pushed and he pushed him back and now he is crying". I went to find Kaden and recess had ended and the kids walked back to their classroom. As the kids got ready to leave Mr. Lerma came up to me and told me that what happened with Kaden and that the whole class is going to be discussing again what to do if someone pushes you or touches you. Kaden will also be missing recess tomorrow as well. We (Kaden, Kaleb and I) were walking back to the car and I asked him what happened. Kaden told me "Well Jose was pushing a bunch of kids and he was being mean to a bunch of them and then he came up to me and pushed me and I pushed him back...I got hurt when I fell over." I asked him "Well what should you have done when he pushed you or you saw him pushing other kids?" Kaden replied "I should have told the teacher." I asked him why he hadn't. Kaden answered "I was going to but I pushed him instead." We continued to talk about it on the way home and when Corey came home he asked what happened and they talked about it for a while and Corey said to him "You know Kaden I am disappointed that you are missing your recess for pushing tomorrow." Kaden replied "Well dad at least I get to think about my family while I sit there and it will be quiet".
