Homework

Today was a fun day for homework. Kaden has been getting a lot more homework these days, which we all like. I know that sounds kind of funny, but it is fun to sit down with Kaden and work on things that he needs to be learning and seeing how far he has come since school has started. Kaden was barely reading when he started school. He could read his letters and numbers, but not many words. He is now reading at least 56 words and 4 more words he is super close to knowing. Corey created flash cards of the site words Kaden gets every month and Kaden breezes through them. We keep adding more and I know he knows more than are even on his flash cards. I am just so proud of him on how fast he is learning his words. Now we are working on writing and seeing how many he knows how to spell. Mr. Lerma is also sending books home that we get to read with him and once Kaden knows the books really well we get new ones. Today when Kaden and I were working on his homework Kaleb wanted to help out so I got him some paper and a colored pencil and he was writing as well. It was super cute to watch him color. I love to sit back and watch these two working and think what a privilege it is to be their mother. I am such a lucky woman.
