Kaden's Christmas Play

Kaden was in a Christmas play at Church. He was one of the sheep. He did such a great job....He made us laugh the whole time. I'm so proud of him for getting up on stage and doing such a great job. =)

Seaport Village

Today was a fun day. We got to hang out all day and do nothing so we figured we would head out for a little fun at Seaport Village. We always have fun walking around and taking fun pictures with the kids and grandparents. This trip was super adventurous because we got to see a drunk Santa. Kaden wanted to talk to him but we decided against that. We did get to hear him sing some carols and we moved along. The best part I thought was when walking back to the car we got to hear some cool music. Kaden even got to help play. It was a lot of fun to watch him. He got all serious while he played it was funny to watch.

Grampa's Birthday Gift

We finished dad's birthday gift today. YAY! We made him some more walking stones. We made dad one for Fathers Day this year as well. You mix cement and pour it in a mold. After the cement drys a bit you can carve it or place hands or feet. When you are done you can paint it. Well Kaden and Kaleb had a blast painting. Kaden made a wonderful ocean scene and Kaleb made a great master piece and we added his foot print. I can't wait to keep this gift idea going over the years and to see what the kids will come up next.

Working in Kaden's class

I got the chance to work in Kaden's class again today...I love that I got to see him read and work on art. I took a video of him reading. YAY! I also got pictures of Kaden and Mr. Lerma. I don't think I have posted a picture of Kaden and his new teacher. Today was a lot of fun and it was possible because a good friend watched Kaleb. Thank you Stacie. =)

Funny Tidbit

Corey was cleaning out our cupboards and was in the process of pulling everything out and Kaden walked over and saw the oatmeal and Kaden said "Oh my word....Not again....Gramma and Grampa aren't going to do that again (make oatmeal for breakfast)". Corey and I just busted out laughing. Later that day Kaden was talking to his gramma and was telling her about the story and he told her "OK Gramma I will eat one day for you"

Audio Alarm Clock

Early this morning...Ok well it was around 7 (I know don't hate me but I am happy to say that after two kids and one of them starting school that still say that 7 is early to me =)). Let me get back to this morning. Kaden woke up and came over to his daddy and said,
Kaden: "Dad it is time to get up, can we go take a shower?"
Corey: "What does the clock say Kaden?"
Kaden: "Ummmm, 7 ... 1...5"
Corey: "OK buddy you need to lay down here for a bit...it is too early to get up"

The last couple of weeks if Kaden gets up to early on Saturday or Sunday Corey has a blanket and a pillow next to our bed to have Kaden lay down for 30 minutes or so. Corey fears if he sends him back to his room it would wake Kaleb up. Later that morning...

Kaden: "Daddy, Daddy it is 7....3...2. We gotta get up...we gotta up"
Corey: "No buddy not yet..Soon OK"
Kaden: "Ok Dad"

Later that morning...(Kaleb began to chat...letting us know he was ready to get up)

Kaden: "Oh no DAD it is 7....4...4. Get up we have to take a shower NOW"
Corey: "Ok buddy lets get up...can you go entertain your brother really quick"
Kaden: "Ok I'm at your service "

Kaden ran into their room and pulled out his light saber and yelled "I am Luke Skywalker...You are Dark Fader". It was so funny. I LOVED It. =) Corey and I just busted out laughing, Corey turned to me and said I love having a audio alarm clock. =)

Fixin Up the House

Today was a busy day. I wanted to get paint touched up and somethings moved around. Well Kaden just LOVED today. He got to paint and be daddy's little helper all day. It was SO CUTE to watch. Kaden went up to his daddy and told him:
Kaden: "You know what I want to be when I grow up"?
Corey: "What, buddy"
Kaden: "A Contractor during the day and a singer at night"
Corey: "Oh buddy that is gonna be fun"
Kaden: "I am going to be good at it too"

Play-Mates

Now that Kaden is in school Kaleb has had to find himself a new play-mate. The lucky winner is Milo. =) It is so funny to see these guys play...well I think Milo is really just cooperating with Kaleb. Milo is a good sport he is a really sweet kitty. We are lucky both boys are gentle with the cat so in return Milo has always been a great kid cat....He has never scratched or harmed a kid. =) Well minutes ago I spotted them playing. Milo like to sit straight up and pat at Kaleb. Kaleb like to nuzzle with Milo. It just a sweet little kinship they have. =)

Workin in Kaden's Class

I had the greatest pleasure today to work in Kaden's class this morning. I had such a great time. Mr. Lerma is such a wonderful teacher and it was a true pleasure to watch him interact with the kids. Kaden has such sweet little kiddos to play hangout with during the day. I got the chance to work with individual kids with their words they are in the process of memorizing. After that each kid would read me their book to me. I also got a chance to work with the first graders and we would work on their writing. We also worked on sounding out vowels and how they work in the words. The funniest part of my morning was playing the sound game with the kids. I got to work with 3 students and they pulled a card and they would tell me the word, they had to figure out what the first letter of word was and then they moved to that nearest letter. The best part, I got a chance to play with Kaden. I played with two more groups and that ended my time with the class. Over all it was a blast seeing what happens in class. It was a great experience. =)

Kaleb's 12 Month Check up

Kaleb had his one year check up today...I know right, only one month late. He is 78% height and a little ol' 7% weight. The doctor is getting worried about his weight she said if he falls bellow 5% we need to work on it. Honestly I have no idea how to work on it...HE EATS ALL DAY LONG, and I mean ALL DAY. He is eating lots of veggies and his fruit. He is starting to take milk well. The only thing he isn't eating well is meats but he loves other protein. I feel really bad, he had to get 5 shots today. His poor little arms. We have a follow up appointment for his flu shot in a month. Kaleb's favorite part of the appointment was playing peek-a-boo with his dad. =)

Kaden and the Doctor

So as I type we are in the middle of a two hour eye appointment. We found out about 2 months ago that Kaden has 75% - 85% chance of having a genetics disease (segmental neuro fibromitosis). His eyes can be affected by this disease and so right now we have to make sure that there aren't any tumors growing anywhere in or around his eyes. He is seeing two doctors tonight and right now we are waiting for his eyes to dialate. Our sweet Auntie Monica is watching Kaleb. Praise the Lord,, Kaleb would not have loved being here this long...Poor Kaden didn't handle to drops well...a scream here and there I hope won't hurt anyone/nurse. At this point the doctor said everything is looking good...so we will wait and see. I have been taking pictures of our visit thus far and 1 video. Oh and did I mention we got here close to 45 minutes early so we went outside to hang out and I had Kaden count the trees...it was pretty funny

Well we are done. Kaden has 20/20 vision and eyes are great which is a really good sign. We have to have a follow up appointment in a 9 months to a year. I am so proud of Kaden, he did really well.

Blueberry Maddness

Kaleb definately has a favorite fruit: blueberries. He has loved this fruit ever sense we visited my dad and his girlfriend and they served us blueberries. Today took the cake, he ate a whole container of them...that was all he wanted to eat. He also climbed into his high chair all by his self. I was grabbing the blueberries out of the fridge and when I looked up he had climbed over the top if his tray and into his highchair. I have no idea how he did it and he didn't kill himself....I would have taken a pictures but I didn't know how to grab the camera in time. I have to keep an eye on this lil bug for sure. My monkey can sure climb

Kaleb's has a new Toy

Kaleb is a very choosy kiddo...he has decided that he loves this new little stuff animal. This new little puppy was given to Kaleb for his birthday from some really great friends (the Makwakwas).

More Park Fun

We have been going to the park a lot more these days....Kaleb is making it a little bit easier for all of us to have fun there. Actually Kaleb loves it at the park. I think he likes it more then Kaden. Both boys are running all over and sliding down and swinging. It is so much fun to watch them have a blast.

Kaleb Talking

Kaleb has been saying Mama and Dada a while now but he finally figured it out what it means....YAY! I had to share it :)I know it is very short phone dropped I will try later for a bigger clip. =)

Park Day!

Kaleb went down the slide all by his self today. He is such a big boy. It was so cute to watch. I love that baby!

Halloween 09

We have had a fabulous Halloween. We hung out with great friends (The Bergherms). This has been our 3 year trick-or-treating with them and we always have a blast. We have a great dinner and then all but Elizabeth go and walk the neighborhood. They have a great neighborhood with great neighbors. Everyone gets into it. Here are some pix of our Halloween 2009.
