Visit to see the Grandparents

Well we headed up to good ol' Grass Valley to see some Grandparents and good friends. The boys had an absolutely fabulous time. We had a rocky start (which is really normal for trips that Gab and I take together). Kaden got car sick, but he handled it so well. After we got to L.A. the boys just rocked the trip. They were so great, I couldn't believe it. We just hung out for the most part for the first couple of days. We saw Great Grandma and Great Grandpa and swam at their pool (well mom and the boys did). Kaleb bonded with Great Grandpa. On Saturday we had a great day planned. Dad (Corey's) had some friends that invited Dad and Kaden to go kayaking. Kaden was so excited. Dad rented some blowup kayaks. They were pretty cool.
We all headed out to Forrest Hill reservoir. We brought a sack lunch and just hung out in this beautiful scenic area. It was a total blast. The next day we were spending with my dad. We just got to hang out and relax and the kids got to soak up some time with dad and Donna. After a little while dad needed a nap so Gab and the boys and I headed out to see Chicago Park (our old school where we used to live). We have some really great friends/family Mo and her boys. I just missed them so much, it was so great to see part of the family. Kaden really wanted to explore. There is so much stuff there. We walked down to see the sheep and chickens. Kaden got to sit in Keven's big rig that he hauls his alfalfa in.

Oh man did Kaden love that. Kaden and Kaleb got head to toe dirty (that was really hard for me). Later on we headed over to Kevin and Eddie's house. We all chatted and caught up. We left shortly after that and took the boys back to see dad. Kaleb fell asleep so Kaden, Gab and dad went to the park. They played for a while and then headed to the dug-out where dad used to play softball all the time while we were growing up...It was to see them in there together. =)The biggest bummer was we got a call and Auburn was on fire. This area is located between us and Corey's parents house. Corey's grandparents had to get evacuated and everything. There was another way home. It just was so scary to know that part of your home town is burning up. By the next morning the fire was 50% contained. We headed home that morning and it was smooth sailing all the way back to San Diego. It was a great trip - but went by way too fast.

You need to put in pics of the kayaking trip, Mo's house & the ones with your dad at the park or house into this story. They would be perfect.
We had a great time with them...we so enjoyed see everyone even if we did catch colds it was WORTH it.
