Homework Blues

Kaden came home from school and I had him do the normal hang his backpack up, put his lunch box on the counter with his black folder. I told him he had 30 minutes to play before we started homework. He looked at me and said "oh mom I can't my brain is really hot". I replied "well it has to get done....you have 30 minutes for it to cool down". Kaden came up to me for an ice pack to cool his brain down". I have to laugh at the kid....I have never heard this one before. I'm a little worried for the future if I'm getting this kind of stuff in first grade. =]
